Description

I want to add a visualization of data contained in dataset so that data consumers can access the visualization and understand the data content more easily and efficiently.

Preconditions

  • dataset containing LD resource accessible via SPARQL enpoint is contained in internal catalog
  • visualization is created in ODN/Publication/LDVM for this dataset

How to do it:

  • finds the dataset record in internal catalog and clicks its name
  • clicks 'Manage' button
  • selects 'Resources' tab
  • clicks 'Add new resource' button
  • clicks 'Link' button
    • editable text field dedicated for URL is available
  • enters the URL of the visualization created in LDVM
  • fills in the name and description of visualization created in LDVM
  • enters 'HTML' in 'Format' editable text field
  • clicks 'Save' when satisfied
    • new resource is created for the dataset
  • clicks to name of the resource
  • clicks 'Manage' button
  • selects 'View' tab
  • clicks '+New view/website' 
  • fills in 'Title' for view (mandatory)
  • fills in 'Description' for view
  • leaves 'Web page URL' blank =  the resource URL will be used
  • clicks 'Add view' when satisfied
  • finds the dataset record in internal catalog and clicks its name
  • clicks the name of the resource
    • preview of the visualization is displayed as embedded iframe
    • if the dataset is public, the preview of the visualization is displayed also in public catalog
