Description

I want to share the catalog record or resource using social media so that I can make it available for a broader community of people interested in the appropriate domain the dataset belongs to.

Preconditions

  • at least one publicly available catalog record exists

How to do it:

  • clicks on dataset 'Name' in the list of publicly available catalog records
    • dataset details are displayed 
    • list of social media available for sharing catalog record is displayed
  • clicks to resource 'Name' or clicks to 'More information' in 'Explore' combo box
    • resource details are displayed
    • list of social media available for sharing resource is displayed
  • clicks to 'Google+' link (applies for both: catalog record sharing and resource sharing)
    • logs in to Google+
      • link to catalog record or resource is created automatically for sharing
      • it is possible to add a comment
    • chooses persons, groups, etc. to share the catalog record or resource with
    • submits sharing 
      • catalog record or resource is shared with the preselected group of persons
  • clicks to 'Twitter' link (applies for both: catalog record sharing and resource sharing) 
    • logs in to Twitter
      • link to catalog record  or resource is included automatically in tweet text filed
      • it is possible to modify the tweet before submission
    • submits the tweet
      • catalog record or resource is shared with followers 
  • clicks to 'Facebook' link (applies for both: catalog record sharing and resource sharing)
    • logs in to Facebook
      • link to catalog record or resource is created automatically for sharing 
      • adds a comment
    • chooses the visibility and audience to share the catalog record or resource with
    • submits sharing
      • catalog record or resource is shared with the preselected group of persons
